Product: Office Jet Pro 8024

My printer is the HP Office Jet Pro 8024. It is WiFi connect only and I have 2 iMacs and the printer is shared between the 2. I find that the Mac closes to to the Printer connects most of the time  reasonably quickly but the other one in a different room some 6 metres away doesn't.  If i 'wake up' the printer by tapping the printer screen it often initiates the printing but not always. I have internet speed of about 400mbps and WiFi speed of around 250mbps farther away.

I understand that you are getting slow printing issues while printing from one of the iMacs, I am glad to assist you.

Which version of Mac OS is installed on the iMac?

Which application are you using to print?

Did you try to print from a different application and check if that prints fine?
