My Smart tank 720 printer does not connect to WiFi. When setting up WiFi mode and using HP Smart it keeps saying printer off line. Even after trying printer factory reset the issue remains the same. It was working alright for a few months but requiring reconnect every time power goes off but still was ok. Now it is not possible to connect to WiFi at all.

Hi @Emmanuel58,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating connectivity issues with your HP Smart Tank 720 printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check Network Settings: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is up and running properly. Check if other devices can connect to the same network without any issues.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer, router, and computer or device can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from power, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Similarly, restart your Wi-Fi router and the device you are trying to print from.
- Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website.
- Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that there are no obstructions causing interference. You can try moving the printer closer to the router to see if that helps.
- Reset Network Settings: Perform a network settings reset on your printer. This will clear any existing network configurations and allow you to set up the Wi-Fi connection from scratch. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset network settings.
- Reinstall HP Smart App: If you're using the HP Smart app for setup, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your device. Sometimes, reinstalling the app can resolve any software glitches causing connectivity issues.
- Check Firewall Settings: Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking the printer's connection to your Wi-Fi network. You may need to adjust your firewall settings to allow communication with the printer.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the connectivity issues with your HP Smart Tank 720 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
