I have the HP smart app . The blue light 3 is flashing not constant and I am unable to add the printer to my home network..Is the printer faulty? Also button no.4 what is wi-fi direct and is the relevant to the above

I'd be happy to help.
Let's reset the Printer's network settings:
● Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
Once done, connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi.
