Hi @Anita37 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Desk Jet 2622 printer and changed internet providers and can not get it to reconnect. I can help with this!

Here are some steps you can follow to get your HP DeskJet 2622 reconnected to your new internet service:

1. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • Turn on the printer.
  • On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until the wireless light blinks.
  • Release the Wireless button.
  • On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Resume button until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Wait for the wireless light to stop blinking and remain on. This indicates that the network settings have been reset.

2. Reconnect Printer to WiFi

  • Ensure your computer or mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network you want to connect the printer to.
  • Download and install the HP Smart app if you haven’t already (available on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10).
  • Open the HP Smart app and select “Add Printer” or “Set Up a New Printer”.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new WiFi network. This typically involves selecting your network and entering the WiFi password.

3. Manually Connect via Wireless Setup

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Go to your computer or mobile device and connect to the temporary wireless network created by the printer (it should be named something like "HP-Setup-xx-DeskJet 2622").
  • Open a web browser and enter 192.168.223.1 to access the printer's internal setup page.
  • Follow the instructions to select your new WiFi network and enter the network password.

4. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Uninstall any existing HP printer software from your computer.
  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP DeskJet 2622.
  • Install the drivers and follow the prompts to set up your printer with the new WiFi network.

5. Check Router Settings

  • Ensure that your router’s SSID (network name) is broadcasting and that the printer is within range.
  • Make sure that MAC filtering is not enabled on your router or add the printer's MAC address to the router’s whitelist.
