This printer is under a year old and it is always disconnecting from my laptop (connected via WiFi or blue tooth). This happens virtually 3 times a week. When it is hardwired, we don't have this problem. I can't get anyone to fix it.

@PesonalLiving, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Signal Strength: Ensure that the printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi router. Weak signal strength can cause frequent disconnections. Try moving the printer closer to the router if possible.
Restart the Printer and Router: Power cycle both your printer and router. Turn them off, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn them back on.
Update Printer Firmware: Check if there's any available firmware update for the printer. Updating to the latest firmware can fix bugs and improve performance. You can usually find updates on the HP Support website.
Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode: If the connection issues persist, you may need to restore the network settings on your printer and set up the connection again. Use the printer's control panel to select "Network Setup" and then "Restore Network Settings." Wait until the wireless light blinks blue before attempting to reconnect. See detailed instructions on Wi-Fi setup mode.
Reduce Wireless Interference: Other electronic devices, walls, or floors can cause interference. Try reducing the number of obstacles between your printer and router.
Check Router Settings: Ensure that your router is not set to change channels automatically, as this can interrupt the connection. Use a fixed channel for better stability.
Change DNS Settings: Sometimes changing the DNS settings to Google's public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) can help improve connectivity.
Use a Static IP Address: Assigning a static IP to your printer can stabilize network connectivity. You can set this in your router’s DHCP reservation settings.
