Hello @USMC83, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Deskjet 4200 printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

We understand that you are trying to print an address to an envelope on my HP Deskjet printer 4200 in the center not on left side on the envelope.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

1. Fixing the Blinking Wi‑Fi Light

A blinking blue Wi‑Fi light usually means the printer has lost its wireless connection or is in Wi‑Fi setup mode and is not connected to your network.

Reset the wireless settings

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel (X) button together for about 5 seconds, until the Power button starts blinking.

Reconnect using HP Smart

  • Download and open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select Add Printer (the + icon).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi‑Fi network.

2. Printing a Centered Address on an Envelope

If the address prints too far to one side, adjust both your document and printer settings before printing.

Choose the correct envelope size

  • In your word processor (such as Microsoft Word), open Mailings or Page Setup.
  • Select the exact envelope size you're using (for example, #10 Envelope).

Check the envelope feed settings

  • Go to Mailings > Envelopes > Options > Printing Options.
  • Verify the Feed Method and select the option that matches how the printer feeds envelopes.

Adjust printer preferences

  • Open Printer Properties or Printing Preferences.
  • Set Paper Type to Envelope.
  • Confirm the page orientation is set correctly, typically Landscape.

Load the envelope properly

  • Place the envelope in the main input tray with the flap facing down and to the left.
  • Slide the paper guides until they fit snugly against the envelope to prevent shifting during printing.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
