Hi @Stacieszyl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy 6055 was previously connected to the Internet but now won’t reconnect, and this has happened multiple times. Let’s go through a few steps to identify what could be causing this.

Restart the printer and router

Power off the printer, unplug the router for 30–60 seconds, then power them back on.

This refreshes network connections and clears temporary issues.

Check Wi-Fi network

Make sure the printer is trying to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID) and that the network is functioning normally.

Avoid connecting to a guest network or 5 GHz-only SSID if your printer only supports 2.4 GHz.

Reconnect Wi-Fi on the printer

On the printer control panel, go to Settings → Network/Wireless → Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password again.

Confirm network password

If your router’s password changed, the printer will fail to connect.

Re-enter the correct password during setup.

Check for interference

Make sure the printer is close to the router and there are no large metal objects, microwaves, or thick walls causing signal issues.

Avoid having too many devices on the same Wi-Fi channel at the same time.

Power cycle your devices

Turn off the printer, router, and computer for a minute, then restart them in order: router → printer → computer.

This can fix network handshake issues.

Update printer firmware

If the printer connects temporarily, go to Printer Settings → Printer Maintenance → Update Printer.

Outdated firmware can cause intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity problems.

I hope this helps.
