I have two computers, (A,B,) connected via a KVM switch. They share the same mouse, monitor and keyboard.
A is Windows 7, Pro, 64 and B is Windows 10, Pro, 64.
I can use the printer that is connected to A with no problem whatsoever.
I need to use the HP scanner of the printer connected to A. How do I do it?
The printer is
"HP LaserJet M1522nf MFP UPD PCL 6"
When I "share" the HP folder in A and click hppscan6.exe, from B, I get
"There is no TWAIN-compliance device installed.
Please install one and try again."
Thank you!

H,
Is it connected with a USB cable through the KVM switch, or what connection type is used for your printer?
What do you mean by share the HP folder from A? did you installed the HP Software on both computers? you cannot share such a software installation to another computer..

Shlomil,
The printer is not connected via the KVM switch.
Here is what I see in the network of my B computer. I am using
Total Commander (TC):
This is a TC-window on //Network//SOULIS-PC. SOULIS=PC is Computer A, SOULIS-PC-10 is Computer B. I can print anything on the printer using my B computer. The two computers SHARE the same printer.
I have not installed any printer software on B.
Thank you!!!

So you refer to printer sharing, a such does not support scanner sharing but only print capabilities..
Is the printer connected to the network, or connected to computer A with a USB cable?
Assuming the latest one is correct, you may only scan from Computer A.
Generally, scanning requires installing the printer software, a such cannot be shared over PCs...
