Hi @Charlie5559,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

When your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e indicates it is connected to the internet but the Wi-Fi light is not operating, and you're unable to connect with your Windows 11 laptop, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Restart Printer and Laptop

  1. Restart Printer:
    • Turn off the printer, wait for 10-15 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Restart Laptop:
    • Restart your Windows 11 laptop.

Step 2: Check Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Printer Settings:
    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and ensure that the correct Wi-Fi network is selected and the password is correct.
  2. Windows Settings:
    • On your Windows 11 laptop, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on and the correct network is selected.
  3. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • Try reconnecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network using the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app.

Step 3: Update Printer Firmware

  1. Download Firmware Update:
    • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
    • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
  2. Install Firmware Update:
    • If updates are available, download and install them following the instructions on the HP Support website.

Note: The remaining steps are shared in the next post. Kindly check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi @Charlie5559,

Here are the remaining steps.

Step 4: Update Printer Drivers

  1. Download Latest Drivers:
    • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest printer drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e.
  2. Install Printer Drivers:
    • Install the downloaded drivers on your Windows 11 laptop following the on-screen instructions.

Step 5: Reset Network Settings

  1. Reset Printer Network Settings:
    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings and look for an option to reset the network settings.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the network settings.
  2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • After resetting the network settings, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 6: Check for Interference

  1. Distance and Obstructions:
    • Ensure that the printer is not too far away from the Wi-Fi router and that there are no physical obstructions blocking the Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Interference:
    • Keep the printer away from other electronic devices that may cause interference, such as cordless phones, microwave ovens, and Bluetooth devices.

If the issue persists after trying the above steps, contact HP support for further assistance. There may be a hardware issue with the printer that requires attention.
