Most prints and scans we attempt to perform will run for a while but never finish. Prints will stop in the middle of a page and show an error or a scan will get partway through a job and then show an error and send the rest of the scan through the document feeder.

If your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer stops in the middle of printing or scanning and shows an error, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds and plug it back in.
  • Turn on the printer and try printing again.

2. Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the document feeder and paper tray for any obstructions or foreign objects that might cause jams.
  • Ensure the paper is correctly loaded.

3. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Go to the HP support website to download and install the latest firmware for your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e.

4. Update Printer Driver:

  • Verify that you have the latest printer driver installed for Windows 11.
  • Visit the HP Driver Support page to download and install the latest drivers.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix common printing and scanning issues. You can download this tool from the HP support website.
