Hi @Shietta ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering issues with your HP ENVY 5052 printer's connection. Let's troubleshoot the IP address and connectivity problems. I’ll guide you through steps that may resolve the issue, and I’ll also provide a link for the HP Easy Start software download.

Steps to Fix Printer Connection Issue:

Restart Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and router, wait for about 30 seconds, and turn them back on.
  • Allow both devices to fully restart, then check if the connection problem persists.

Check the Printer’s IP Address:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Network Settings.
  • Select View Network Configuration or a similar option.
  • Note down the IP address displayed. Make sure the IP address format looks like this: 192.168.x.xxx.

Assign a Static IP to the Printer: If the IP address keeps changing or disconnecting:

  • Open a web browser on your computer and type the printer’s IP address into the URL bar to access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  • Go to Network > IP Settings and set a manual (static) IP address that matches your network.

Re-add the Printer:

  • On your computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP ENVY 5052 and click Remove.
  • Click Add a Printer and follow the prompts to reconnect using the correct IP address.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: If the problem persists, updating or reinstalling the drivers might help.

Check Firewall/Security Software: Make sure your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking the printer's connection. You may need to whitelist the printer's IP address or temporarily disable the firewall to test.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
