I have a new Smart Tank 7602 and am trying to set up a network share on the scanner. I have been trying to put in the path to the folder. Over and over it just keeps telling me it's not right, but doesn't give me any information about why. This whole setup has taken me hours. Totally frustrated! Can some one please tell me what I am doing wrong?
Example: \\mypcname\C:\Users\myname\downloads
How about a little automation? Like let me browse/navigate to the folder I want to use that save that link? It would be helpful for those of us that aren't network administrators.

I might be missing something -- or perhaps the documentation is wrong or missing -- ??
I do not find information that this printer supports Scan to Network Folder at the Printer's own Printer Control Panel or in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Can you describe where on the printer or where (which tab / section) in EWS you see the settings to configure Scan to Network Folder?
If your printer does support Digital Send (Scan to Network folder),
I can provide an Example of what the EWS setup looks like.
What else?
Depending on your Operating System / version (for example, a supported version of Windows)
AND
If you have installed the full driver printer software (formally sometimes called Full Feature Software)
NOTE: Scroll down to see notes below on how to install the full driver.
Then
HP Scan can be configured to store scans to a folder on your computer.
You can "Browse" to the folder path to select the destination.
HP Universal Scan (also supported on this printer also supports Scan to a folder on your computer.
NOTE: Instructions to install Universal Scan are included later in this message.
Remember that the destination folder should include "Read / Write" permissions for the account that will use it.
Example - HP Scan - Main Menu - More > Destination
Topics
Send To
and
Save To Folder

====================================
Printer Software
If you have not yet done so, install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.
HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver generally adds at one, possibly least one, possibly two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant, HP Scan Assistant, and/or HP Scan.
NOTES:
HP Scan is not installed if the printer does not support Scan.
The Printer Assistant is not installed if the type of full driver software does not support it. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver.
No Sign-in required to use full driver printer software.
Reinstalling?
- Uninstall existing full driver printer software from Programs and Features.
- If your printer includes a separate "help" in Programs and Features, uninstall that, too.
- Restart the computer and log in.
- If the printer is connected to the computer using a printer USB cable, remove / disconnect the cable before loading the software.

HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only
In general, the web pack should load -
Download package > Save > Right-Click on the installation Package > Run as Administrator
If / When asked, opt for the Full Driver / Full Software to be installed.
Using USB? (Re)Connect when instructed to do so.
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

Optional -- Supported by your printer

If needful, choose a different OS > Open all
If asked, opt for the Full Driver to be installed.
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

Hi , thanks for the response.
As near as I can tell the printer is set up properly. I have download the driver package and rebooted multiple times. On my desktop I can scan a page in using the app, but can't set up the connection to a NAS folder. On my laptop, I can't get the scanner to work at all.
On the desktop:
Share set up on on my desktop to try and test it out. Would really like it to go to a NAS device
This is the drive pack I installed.

I have not found documentation that indicates the printer itself supports the Digital Send option > Scan to Network Folder
I do not see where you have indicated your Operating System / version.
I do not recognize your full driver software Web Pack (image). Where did it come from?
The full driver printer software for this printer series and supported versions of Windows is here:
HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only
I am curious the printer software you have installed --
In general, the installed full driver printer software should at least to some extent match the printer model as viewed in Programs and Features.
Older example - relevant to the extent that printer software reflects the name of the printer series

=====================================================
The following is guesswork based on my own past experience.
This might not help -- I cannot correlate what I know about the process with what you are seeing and doing.
One more try...
For a "Scan to Network Folder" Profile -- for example of the type created in Windows or in EWS Profile:
Use the IP address as opposed to the name of the computer.
An older example - EWS Scan to Network Folder / Windows Share / Network path
EWS_9025_Scan_to_Network_Folder_16
HP Scan (part of the full driver printer software in the web pack)
A local folder OR a mapped network folder can be added to the Send To setup > Local or Network Folder
The Save To destination address should include the designation for the disk (C:).
C:\Users\raabe\ -- Add the Destination Folder at the end of the line
OR
A Network folder destination (configured in HP Scan) should include the NAS IP address (and not the name of the NAS).
The destination on the NAS must be shared AND include read / write access for everyone.
Make sure the destination folder in the NAS is in group "Everybody" (Everyone, or similar).
Excerpted from the previous post example -
Browse to the mapped (and shared) NAS folder destination.
For example, Click Browse > when File Explorer opens, scroll down
Start browsing at "This PC"
Track (browse) all the way down to the final NAS destination (sub) folder where you want to save the scan content.
After you add the mapped NAS folder destination,
The visible folder name in HP Scan "Save to Folder" / "Save To" will display using the mapped drive letter and the destination folder.
Example
R:\Scan_Folder
