If you've tried all the processes provided by the virtual assistant and are still unable to connect your HP Smart Tank 675 All-In-One printer wirelessly, you can follow these additional troubleshooting steps.
Check Network Connection
- Restart Devices: Restart your router, printer, and computer or mobile device.
- Check Wi-Fi Signal: Ensure your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check Network Name and Password: Verify you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
Printer Setup
- Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer until the power light starts blinking. This will reset the network settings.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless setup menu.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.
Using the HP Smart App
- Reinstall HP Smart:
- Uninstall the HP Smart app from your computer or mobile device.
- Reinstall the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device's app store.
- Add Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
- Ensure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
Network Configuration
- Check Router Settings:
- Ensure your router is not set to a frequency band that the printer does not support (e.g., make sure it's on a 2.4GHz network if the printer does not support 5GHz).
- Disable any network isolation settings that may prevent devices from communicating.
- Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer and install them using the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
Troubleshooting Advanced Network Issues
- Static IP Address:
- Assign a static IP address to your printer through your router's settings.
- Check for Interference:
- Ensure there are no electronic devices causing interference with your Wi-Fi signal.
- Firewall and Security Settings:
- Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your computer to see if it is blocking the printer connection.
