Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I HAD A DIFFERENT LAPTOP CONNECTED TO MY PRINTER, ROUTER, ETC.  THE WORKER  SET IT UP DIFFERENTLY AS FAR AS MY ROUTER AND MODEM ARE CONCERNED, BUT IT WORKED.  LATER, ANOTHER WORKER TRIED TO RESTORE THE FORMER WIRING PATTERN.  WHO KNOWS WHAT HE DID.

IT PRINTED IN MARCH, BUT TODAY I GET THE ERROR MESSAGE "PRINTER OFFLINE."  I TRIED RUNNING HP FIX AND SCAN DOCTOR, BUT IT WAS UNABLE TO CONNECT TO MY PRINTER.  I READ A SOLUTION ON THE HP FORUM WHICH I WILL TRY TOMORROW, BUT I NEED TO KNOW IF A UBC CORD SHOULD BE PLUGGED INTO MY PRINNTER IF IT'S WIRELESS.

I'M SORRY T0 BE IGNORANT ABOUT SOMETHING SO BASIC, BUT THAT'S WHERE I AM.

Most printers can use USB or Wireless, not both.  If the printer has been connected by USB and wireless I would suggest removing the USB cable, then power cycle the printer.

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.  Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
