Hi @Gazza2026,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for the clarification, and I appreciate you pointing that out.

If your printer is connected to Wi-Fi, but you're unable to see it in the HP App, and the application is displaying a Critical Error message, I'd like to gather a few more details so we can better understand what's causing the issue.

Could you please provide:

  • The exact HP printer model.
  • Whether you're using the HP App on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.
  • A screenshot or photo of the Critical Error message.

In the meantime, please try the following:

  1. Restart the printer.
  2. Restart your computer or mobile device.
  3. Restart your router.
  4. Open the HP App and check if the printer appears after all devices have reconnected to the network.
  5. Verify that both the printer and the device running the HP App are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

If the printer is connected to Wi-Fi but the HP App still cannot discover it, the screenshot of the error will be especially helpful in determining whether this is a communication issue, an application issue, or a printer-related issue.

Please share the printer model and the error image when you have a chance, and we'll be happy to take a closer look.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
