Hi @bkp1610,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your Motorola G84 5G phone is having trouble communicating with your HP Envy Photo 6230 printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that both your phone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they're on different networks, they won’t be able to communicate.
  • Restart Devices: Restart both your phone and the printer. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check HP Smart App: Make sure you’re using the HP Smart app to print from your phone. If the app is already installed, try closing it and reopening it to reconnect with the printer. If it’s not installed, download it from the Google Play Store and try printing again.
  • Re-add the Printer to the HP Smart App: If the printer is not appearing in the app, try removing it and adding it back. Open the HP Smart app, tap the + icon to add a printer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if your printer has any available firmware updates. You can usually check for updates through the printer's settings or the HP Smart app.
  • Printer and Phone Reset: If nothing works, try resetting the network settings on your printer. You can reset the printer’s network settings by navigating to the Network section in the printer's control panel or using the HP Smart app.
  • Clear Cache on Your Phone: Sometimes, clearing the cache of your printing apps or the Wi-Fi settings on your phone may help restore connectivity.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
