This is my 2nd attempt posting this question. For some reason, my first attempt [1] became non-existent when I checked back a few hours later. I haven't gotten any message about whether the posting violates any rules, so I'm trying again.


I tried to use HP Printer and Scan Doctor to troubleshoot my Wi-Fi Direct connection [2]. In the process, I was told that some drivers were updated, and that I needed to reboot. When I did so, the number of printers more than doubled [3]. Now I don't know which ones to choose. I don't recall which ones were present before the driver update.


How can I sort out this terrible situation?


I've lost two weekends to this problem.

 

If this posting violates a rule, and that is the reason for the removal of my original attempt, please let me know.  Otherwise, there is no way for me to know.  Thank you.

I bit the bullet and chose the first printer of my mysterious handful of MFPs listed:

However, the "HP Printer and Scan Doctor" only tested the scan capability.  It did *not* test printing.  So it has not been helpful.
