I rented an Ency Inspire for a  30 day trial as my  in warranty SmartTank 7602 's lid had completely fallen off and needed to be replaced.  That took weeks to arrive and I needed a printer.  The replacement SmartTank arrived a little earlier than they had forecast, I ws within the trial period, so I cancelled the Inspire's contract by calling them.  It was on the date that was written on the contract. They had me cancel online.

 

When I cancelled, HP claimed that date was wrong, that it should have been the day before plus put my date that I actually cancelled as the next day, thus, according to them over the 30 day allowance and would charge me  multiple  dollars to send it back early, which I refused to do.  I think that since the support is in Asis, the international dateline made it the next day.  However, I had support on the phone while I cancelled and she verified that I was in Eastern Time.

 

I called multiple times, wrote, complaining to no avail.   So, I put the rental at the lowest amount per month and finally unplugged it.  They just sent me a notice that my printer was unplugged and would I need help?  

Yes, I need help to get this message across to them that what they did was unfair as I was in the date period of returning it as a trial as written on the paperwork and verified by the support agent.
