I know this has been asked before but I don't see where it has ever been properly answered.  To get to the admin page on my printer it is asking for a user name and password.  I have never set up user name and password.  Default user name and password is suppose to be "admin".  Tried that and it didn't work.  One suggestion was to reset the printer.  Tried that and it didn't work. It never gave me the option to change or set up a password.

Most HP printers if default password is not blank then there should be a label on the back of the printer that has a default password for the wifi. Try that password.

Thanks, but no label and blank password doesn't work.  I did download the HP utility software that lets me do head cleaning, etc.  But I know I could log in directly previously (probably over a year ago though), so puzzled what changed to require the user id and password.
