Laserjet Pro M15w
Ubuntu LTS

After a certain amount of hassle I've got my M15w connected to my LAN and working.

However I bought it specifically because of its small size and thus portability, I want to take it to different locations and I *know* that the LANs are different.  I.e. my home LAN uses 192.168.1.x and the LAN on my boat (for example) uses 192.168.0.x.  How can I move the M15w from one LAN to the other without major hassle?

Hi,

You would need to reset the wireless settings and reconfigure the connection through the HP Smart app for a new network connection, as listed below:

Generally, I would suggest considering to use WiFi Direct and connect the computer to the printer's network to print, this would be much simpler than re-configuring the wireless network connection each time.

Once connected to the network, print a Configuration Report and locate the IPv4 Address, browse to this address, select Networking and there enable the Wi-Fi Direct feature and note its password.

Then connect the computer to the printer and reinstall the printer once connected to its Wi-Fi Direct network, this way you would much easier connect the computer to your printer and print whenever you need, regardless of your location:

This is the problem, it's an error ridden rigmarole resetting the WiFi on the M15w printer.

OK, but I'm not sure that all my printing clients can use WiFi Direct (I'm mostly Linux).

It's already enabled, I'm trying to use it from an Android device as well.

It may eventually work from my Android devices but it's no good for Linux.
