Hi @Aliroo,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Compatibility:
- Ensure you have a USB Type-A to USB Type-B cable. If your MacBook Air has only USB-C ports, you will need a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
Prepare Your Printer:
- Turn on your HP ENVY 6055e printer.
- Make sure you have installed the printer software (HP Smart) on your MacBook Air. You can download the HP Smart app from the HP Support website or from the Mac App Store.
Connect the USB Cable:
- Plug the USB Type-B end of the cable into the printer.
- Connect the USB Type-A end to the adapter if necessary, and then plug it into the USB-C port on your MacBook Air.
Add the Printer on macOS:
- Open the System Preferences on your MacBook Air.
- Select Printers & Scanners from the menu.
- Click the "+" button below the list of printers to add a new printer.
- Your MacBook should detect the HP printer connected via USB. Select it from the list.
- Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Print a Test Page:
- After adding the printer, print a test page to ensure the connection is successful.
I hope this helps.
