Hello, I've tried everything to get my HP Tango printer to connect to the new Verizon wireless router I just installed and the error message is "printer can't be found".

Everything else is finding that new router but not my printer.  Help please!

Hello @2026LG, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Tango printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

1. Restore Setup Mode:
If the light does not flash, press and hold the Wireless button again until the edge lighting flashes blue. This indicates the printer is in discovery mode.

2. Restart All Devices:
Power cycle your Verizon router, mobile device, and printer by unplugging them, waiting briefly, and turning them back on to clear any connection issues.

3. Check Network Band (2.4 GHz):
Ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz network, as the HP Tango printer is not compatible with 5 GHz networks.

4. Use WPS Method:
Press and hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds, then press the WPS button on your Verizon router within 2 minutes to establish the connection.

5. Reinstall HP Smart App:
If the printer is still not detected, uninstall the HP Smart app and reinstall it, then try setting up the printer again.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
