Hi @WIFI19,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet Plus Ink Advantage 6000 series printer's Wi-Fi is not working and it is not showing up on your system or mobile device, it could be due to several factors. Let's go through a series of steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Step-by-Step Wi-Fi Troubleshooting Guide
1. Restart Your Printer and Devices
- Turn off the printer.Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.Wait for at least 60 seconds.Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.Unplug the router from the power source.Wait for at least 60 seconds.Plug the router back in and wait for it to fully restart.Restart your computer and mobile devices to ensure there are no pending network issues.
2. Check Printer Wi-Fi Settings
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button or navigate to the Wireless Settings.Ensure that the Wi-Fi is turned on and the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If the printer is not connected to Wi-Fi, go through the setup process again.
- Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to the Wi-Fi setup wizard and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
3. Verify Network Connection
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Information button together to print a network configuration page.Check the network configuration page to see if the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure the printer has a valid IP address. If the IP address is 0.0.0.0 or starts with 169.254, it means the printer is not properly connected to the network.
4. Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update.Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update on your printer.
5. Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to Settings > Network > Restore Network Settings.Confirm and reset the network settings to factory defaults.Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the setup wizard.
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working correctly and that there are no issues with the router.Ensure that the router’s SSID (network name) is broadcasting and not hidden.Ensure that MAC address filtering is not enabled on your router, or if it is, make sure the printer’s MAC address is allowed.
6. Use the HP Smart App
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store or from the app store on your mobile device.Open the HP Smart app and follow the instructions to set up and connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network.
7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and fix common printing and scanning problems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
