HP ENVY 6430e All-in-One Printer

For some reason the blue flashing Wifi light on control panel of my 4 month old ENVY6430e has dispaeared. Ive tried to holding the Wifi button at the back of the printer as per trouble shooting guide. Ive tried tuning if on/off Nothing seems to work. HP smart just says it "Off Line". It comes on intermittently then disapeers again.Ive only had the printer 4 months. it was working fine but now its almost useless.

Hi @Micklosh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's unfortunate to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 6430e printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. If possible, try connecting another device to the same network to ensure it's working correctly.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi: Follow these steps to reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon.
  • Touch the Settings icon.
  • Touch Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download and install the latest firmware if available.

Check HP Smart App: Ensure that the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device is also up to date. Sometimes, updating the app can help in resolving connectivity issues.

Reset Network Settings: On the printer control panel, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset. This will erase the current network settings, and you can set up the connection again.

Printer Driver: Ensure that the printer driver on your computer is up to date. Visit the HP official website, download the latest driver for your printer model, and install it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I ended up putting the printers factory settings back. I found out how to do this on You Tube. This allowed me to re-install the printer. Its now working okay.

Only issue was that for some reason in selecting the HP Smart printing programme as the default which casused other issues. it also attempte dto install a mseries 7000 printer for some un-known reason. Great printer confusing controls.
