HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-One

I have two HP Smart Tank 7300 series working via ethernet on a network. Both were working fine. One then stopped working. It cannot be seen on the network. When the HP Network Configuration Page is printed, it says that the Networking Capabilities are not available. It proceeds to tell me that the devices built in networking capabilities were disabled when the device was set up. This is not correct as it was operating and then stopped.

It works with a USB.

It has been restarted many times.

If I search for it on ethernet via its last known IP address it cannot be found.

With ethernet disconnected, I have tried to connect it by the three different methods from the WI-FI quick start guide. They are with a mobile, a computer and by WPS. Nothing connects. The setup wifi cannot be seen on any device.

I have updated the firmware to the latest version. No change

I have reset to factory defaults and reloaded the firmware. No change

The WiFi display just flashes away.

In the HP Smart app, Information, Network Information, Wireless Status - Not supported, Ethernet Status - Not supported.

I cannot find anywhere in the Smart App where I can turn on or off the networking capabilities.

When I try to make changes in the Smart App to the Administrator settings, such as enable/disable printer features it starts and then says,  Internal Server Error and wont complete the task

Just a bit frustrating. It is still under warranty and I think it might be time to return it. Unless you have a solution

Hi HP

I followed the instructions that were provided to check the ethernet port on my Smart Tank 7300.

I connected two ethernet cables to my router. One i connected to my computer and the other to the printer.

My computer was able to connect to the router via ethernet conection.

The printer had a green light on at the ethernet port when I connected power and it went out approximately 10 seconds later.

When I connected the ethernet cable that was connected to the router, no lights came on at the ethernet port on the printer.

I then disconnected the ethernet cables from the printer and the computer and swapped them over.

The computer connected to the ethernet. The printer had no ethernet port lights illuminated.

Can you advise if there is some way that the ethernet port can be turned off on the printer? If so is there a way it can be turned back on?

,Otherwise, is the ethernet port/card on the printer faulty?

When I print a network configuration report it says, "Networking Capabilities are Not Available". It then goes on to say "You cannot use the device's built-in networking capabilities because these capabilities were disabled when the device was set up" This is incorrect as I set it up and it was working but stopped functioning while it was being used.

Thankyou for your assistance.

Make sure Wi-Fi is on. Then turn it off and on again to reconnect. Learn how to connect to Wi-Fi networks.
Make sure Airplane mode is off. Then turn it on and off again to reconnect.
Press your phone's power button for a few seconds. Then, on your screen, tap Restart

Hope this helps,
Will

Hi Will

Thankyou for your response.

Unfortunately it was not of use as I am way past that point.

The printer does not give off any wifi signal that can be detected for the purposes of connection. It also doesnt connect via ethernet as the ethernet port appears to not be working.

I have two identical printers and I am not having any issues with the other one. I can move it from one network to another, wifi or ethernet without any issues.
