Hi @ROBERTO109,
Thanks again for your detailed follow-up, and I appreciate your persistence.
I know how frustrating it can be when everything works except Wi-Fi on reboot.
Since you've already
Updated the firmware
Reconfigured the Wi-Fi via both WPS and manual password entry
Verified there’s no interference and the printer is close to the router
Confirmed USB works without issue
Let's move to advanced and persistent fix steps:
Assign a Static IP Address
When your router dynamically assigns IPs, the printer may lose connection after a reboot.
Steps:
Print the Network Configuration Page from your printer settings.
Note the current IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
Open your browser → Type the current IP to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Go to:
Network > Wireless (802.11) → IPv4 Configuration
Select Manual IP, enter the same IP details as on the config page, then click Apply.
This ensures the IP doesn’t change every time the printer is turned on.
Reserve IP from Router (DHCP Reservation)
For an extra layer of consistency:
Log into your Wi-Fi router’s admin page.
Go to LAN or DHCP Settings.
Add the printer’s MAC address and assign it a reserved IP (same as the static one).
Save settings and reboot the router.
Disable Wi-Fi Auto-Off (Power Saving Settings)
Some HP printers disconnect Wi-Fi when idle to save power.
Steps:
Go to printer control panel:
Settings > Power Management or Eco Settings
Disable Wi-Fi Auto-Off or Power Save Mode.
Save and restart the printer.
Check for Dual Band Conflict
If your router has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, connect the printer only to 2.4GHz, most HP printers do not support 5GHz networks.
Use HP Smart App to Reconnect with Advanced Setup
Sometimes, connecting through the app creates a more reliable link than WPS.
Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App.
Reset the printer network settings again.
In the app, select Add New Printer → Set up manually via app.
Follow instructions to finish the connection and send a test print.
I hope this helps.

Hi @ROBERTO109,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, router, and computer or mobile device.
- After a few seconds, turn them back on and check if the printer connects to Wi-Fi.
Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength:
- Ensure that your printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router.
- Avoid placing the printer near obstacles like walls or large metal objects which can interfere with the signal.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues. Make sure your printer firmware is updated. You can do this through the printer's Embedded Web Server or via the HP Smart app.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- For printers with a touchscreen: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network Setup or Settings, then select Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the instructions to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
- For printers without a touchscreen: Press and hold the Wireless button until it starts flashing. Then, press the WPS button on the router.
Restore Network Settings:
- On touchscreen models, restore network settings from the printer control panel by navigating to Network Setup or Settings and selecting Restore Network Settings.
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure your router is functioning correctly. Check for any firmware updates or settings that might be causing connectivity issues.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is not using MAC address filtering which might block the printer from connecting.
Wireless Isolation:
- Some routers have a feature called “Wireless Isolation” that blocks communication between connected devices. Check your router settings to see if this feature is enabled and disable it.
Network Configuration:
- Verify that the printer is configured to use the correct Wi-Fi network settings.
HP Smart App:
- Use the HP Smart app to diagnose and fix connectivity problems, and also ensure the app and all related services are up to date.
I hope this helps.

attendo nuove indicazioni

good morning
thanks for all the instructions, which I have already applied several times in particular the one with the WPS button. the firmware is updated, when I connect the printer with the WPS button it remains connected until I turn it off, when I turn it back on it is no longer connected to the WIFI.
I did this operation through the printer panel, I also reconfigured by re-entering the router's PW, but the problem remains
PS
(with the USB cable the printer works.)
the printer is one meter from the router, it has no interference of any kind,
I await new instructions
thanks Kurol_Kenshi
