Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Everytime i go to use my series 6000 WIFI printer it is offline and I have to turn the power off and start over again.  It is really annoying and honestly I am regretting buying this printer.  Having to reset every time I go to print is a waste of time.  So I purchased a USB cable and it still doesn't come up as online.  Piece of crap.

Hi @Winslowr27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the frustrations you're experiencing with your Wi-Fi printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Check Wireless Connection

Ensure Wi-Fi is On:

  • Check if the wireless (802.11) light on the printer is on. If not, turn on the Wi-Fi from the printer settings.

Check Cable Connections:

  • Make sure there is no Ethernet cable connected, as it can disable the wireless capabilities.

Router and Printer Restart:

  • Turn off the router and the printer. Turn them back on in this order: router first, then the printer.

Run Wireless Network Test:

  • Print a Wireless Network Test page to identify issues. Go to the printer's settings and select Print Wireless Network Test.

Fix USB Connection Issues

Try a different USB Port:

  • If the printer still doesn’t come online with the USB, try using a different USB port on your computer.

Install the Latest Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer installed. You can download them from the Official HP® Support.

Check Network Configuration

Verify IP Address:

  • Ensure that the printer has a valid IP address if connected to a network. It should match the IP address specified in the printer settings.

Fixed IP:

  • Set a fixed IP address for your printer to avoid IP address changes due to DHCP.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
