@LIzaDimla, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP DeskJet 2855e printer is having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, there are several potential issues and solutions you can consider:

Verify Network Name and Password:

  • Ensure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Double-check for any typing errors, including case-sensitivity for the password.

Proximity to Router:

  • Place your printer close to the router to ensure it is within range. Walls and electronic devices can interfere with the wireless signal.

Wi-Fi Button and Light:

  • Make sure the Wi-Fi button on the printer is turned on and the Wi-Fi light is solid. Flashing indicates that it's attempting to connect.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and router. Often, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Firmware Updates:

  • Check and update the printer’s firmware through the HP Smart app, as outdated firmware can prevent a stable connection.

Network Settings Reset:

  • Reset the network settings on your printer. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a network reset.

Interference and Channel Settings:

  • Look for potential sources of interference such as other electronic devices, and adjust the channel settings on your router if necessary.
