Hi @Debby1955,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It can be really frustrating when your HP printer just refuses to connect to Wi‑Fi despite all your efforts. But don’t worry, I’m here to walk you through it step by step

1. Restart and Reset Everything

  • Turn OFF your printer, unplug the power, and wait 30 seconds.
  • Restart your Wi‑Fi router and confirm your other devices reconnect properly.
  • Replug the printer and power it back ON

These restarts often clear glitches between devices and the network.

2. Check Wi‑Fi Basics

  • Make sure your printer and all devices are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network name (SSID).
  • Keep the printer within 3 m (around 10 to 12 ft) of your router; obstructions and distance can weaken the connection.
  • Confirm you’re using the correct password.

3. Restore Wi‑Fi Setup Mode

Reset the printer’s wireless settings so it’s ready to reconnect:

  • Touchscreen printers: Go to Setup → Network Setup → Restore Network Settings or Restore Wi‑Fi Setup Mode.
  • Button-based models: Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together until the Power light blinks.

This lets your printer “forget” old configurations and enter fresh setup mode.

4. Use HP App or Embedded Web Server (EWS)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
