Hi @Drina2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is showing an error that it is unable to connect to the web server despite having a strong wireless connection, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Restart Your Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then turn them back on.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Print a network configuration page from your printer to verify the network status.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu or on the HP support website.

Check Web Services:

  • Ensure that Web Services are enabled on your printer.
  • On your printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Web Services Settings and enable Web Services if they are not already enabled.

Reconfigure Web Services:

  • Sometimes reconfiguring the Web Services can help. Disable Web Services, restart your printer, and then re-enable Web Services.
  • Go to Setup > Web Services Settings > Remove Web Services. After removing, restart the printer and re-enable Web Services.

Verify DNS Settings:

  • Sometimes, the DNS settings can cause connectivity issues. You can try setting a manual DNS server (e.g., 8.8.8.8 for Google DNS).
  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Network Settings > Wireless > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings and set it manually.

Check Firewall Settings:

  • Ensure that the firewall on your router or computer is not blocking the printer’s access to the internet.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool provided by HP to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning issues.

Router Settings:

  • Check your router settings to ensure it is not blocking the printer’s connection to the web server. You may need to check for any parental controls or security settings that might be interfering.

Factory Reset:

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This will restore the printer to its default settings. Be sure to note down your current settings before doing this, as you will need to reconfigure the printer from scratch.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
