Good morning all - I am having an issue with my HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e and web services. My printer is connected to my home network vi Ethernet and is accessible for printing from all devices including wireless devices connected to my network over in-home Wi-Fi. I can also scan using the HPSmart app. But the HPSmart app info and the printer info says its not connected to the Internet so I cant use any shortcuts Ive saved to my printer for emailing scans to recipients outside my home.
I tried updating the firmware my version is MANHHIPP1N005.2137A.00
I saw another post in this community regarding updating we services setting from the panel of the printer but I dont appear to have that menu on my printer. I have tried rebooting the printer, rebooting the network but to no avail.
I am not having Internet issues (obviously as otherwise this post wouldnt exist)
Thx for the help

Hi @jmb89,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've tried a number of steps already, but here are a few additional things you can try to get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e's web services working.
Check Web Services Status:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Web Services. Verify if Web Services is turned on and if there are any error messages. If there is an option to update or configure web services, try selecting it.
Print a Network Configuration Report:
- Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer’s control panel. This can help you verify if the printer is correctly connected to your network and whether it's receiving an IP address.
Re-enable Web Services:
- Go to Settings > Web Services and try turning Web Services off and then on again. This can sometimes reset the connection.
Re-add Printer to HP Smart:
- In the HP Smart app, remove the printer and then re-add it. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues with the app.
Check Firewall/Security Settings:
- Ensure that your router’s firewall or security settings are not blocking the printer’s access to HP’s web services. You might need to whitelist the printer or adjust settings to allow it through.
Update HP Smart App:
- Make sure that the HP Smart app on your device is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, app updates fix connectivity issues.
Printer Reset:
- As a last resort, you could perform a factory reset on the printer. Note that this will remove all custom settings, so you may need to reconfigure your network and other settings afterward. To do this, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
