Hi @Dj_286,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble turning on Web Services on your HP printer.

Please follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Support: Ensure your printer supports Web Services by looking for an HP ePrint logo, button, or icon on the printer control panel. Older printer models might have an older logo or sticker.

Network Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to an active, wireless internet connection. Web Services do not function with a USB cable connection.

  • Verify your printer is connected to a network like your home or workplace network and not a guest or host network, such as those found in schools or hotels.

Activate Web Services

  • If your printer has a touchscreen or LCD, press the HP ePrint icon on your control panel. If not available, go to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings and follow the prompts to turn on Web Services.

  • For printers without a touchscreen, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Print a Network Configuration Page to find your printer’s IP address. Enter this IP address in your web browser to access the EWS, navigate to the Web Services tab, and follow the prompts to activate them.

Firmware Update: Ensure your printer firmware is updated. Use either your wireless network or a USB cable to connect your printer to your computer, then search for your printer on the HP support site to check for firmware updates. Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support.

Router Configuration: Confirm that your router's firmware is up-to-date and that it's operating on the correct frequency band. Some printers may require a 2.4 GHz band.

Proxy Settings: If your network uses a proxy server, ensure the correct proxy information is entered in the printer's Embedded Web Server under the Web Services tab.

Restart Devices: Reboot your router, printer, and computer to reset their connections.

Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer, keeping in mind this will revert all settings to their defaults.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
