Hi @JudyEccard,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The "No Filtering" failure in your Wireless Network Test Results means that your router might be blocking the printer's MAC address or preventing it from connecting due to security settings.

How to Fix It:

1. Disable MAC Address Filtering on Your Router

  • Log in to your router (usually by entering 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in a web browser).
  • Find MAC Address Filtering or Access Control settings.
  • If it's enabled, either:
    • Turn it off (recommended for troubleshooting), or
    • Manually add your printer’s MAC address to the allowed list.
  • Save settings and restart the router.

2. Connect Your Printer Manually

If MAC filtering isn't the issue, try manually reconnecting the printer:

  1. On the printer, go to the Wireless Setup Wizard (from the control panel).
  2. Select your new Wi-Fi network.
  3. Enter the correct Wi-Fi password.
  4. Wait for it to connect and print a new Wireless Network Test Report.

3. Restart Everything

  • Power off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on in this order:
    1. Router (wait until fully booted).
    2. Printer.
    3. Computer.

4. Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • On the printer, go to Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
  • Try reconnecting to Wi-Fi again.

5. Check Router Security Settings

  • If your router is using WPA3 encryption, try switching it to WPA2.
  • Some newer routers have "Smart Connect" enabled—try disabling it and manually connecting the printer.
