HI @Marcanton4444,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is stuck in "Asleep" mode and won’t wake up, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

1. Wake Up the Printer

  • Press Any Button: Try pressing the power button or any other button on the printer to wake it up.
  • Open and Close the Printer Cover: Sometimes, simply opening and closing the printer's top cover can wake it up.

2. Check Power Connection

  • Ensure the printer is plugged in and the power source is working. If it's on a power strip, try plugging it directly into the wall outlet.

3. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

4. Check Printer Settings

  • If your printer has a sleep timer setting, you may want to adjust it:
    • Go to the printer’s settings menu (usually accessible from the printer's display).
    • Look for a "Sleep Mode" or "Energy Saver" option and adjust the timer or disable it.

5. Update Printer Drivers

  • Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Check the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers for your model.

6. Check for Jobs in the Queue

  • On your computer, go to "Printers & Scanners" settings and check if there are any stalled print jobs. Clear any jobs in the queue if necessary.

7. Print a Test Page

  • Try printing a test page from the printer’s control panel to see if it responds.

8. Factory Reset (if needed)

  • If the printer remains unresponsive, you may consider performing a factory reset (refer to your printer’s manual for instructions).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
