Hi @Sandrakvaldez,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

The encryption password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer can typically be found in the printer's web interface or through the printer's control panel settings. Here’s how you can locate it:

Method 1: Accessing the Encryption Password via the Printer's Embedded Web Server

Connect to the Same Network:

  • Ensure that your computer or device is connected to the same network as your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer.

Open a Web Browser:

  • Open a web browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) on your computer.

Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server:

  • In the address bar of the web browser, type the IP address of your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer. You can usually find this on the printer's control panel or by printing a network configuration page from the printer.

Enter Administrator Credentials:

  • You may be prompted to enter the administrator username and password for the printer’s embedded web server. If you haven’t set up a password, it might be the default credentials (often 'admin' for both username and password).

Navigate to Security Settings:

  • Once logged in, navigate to the security or network settings section. Look for options related to encryption or security.

View or Reset Encryption Password:

  • In the encryption or security settings, you should find the current encryption password displayed. If necessary, you can reset or change the encryption password from this interface.

Method 2: Using the Printer's Control Panel

Printer Control Panel:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate through the settings menu. Look for a section related to security or network settings.

Access Security Settings:

  • Depending on your printer model's firmware and menu layout, you may find encryption settings under a security or network configuration menu.

View Encryption Password:

  • Within the security settings, there should be an option to view or reset the encryption password. Follow the on-screen instructions to access or modify the password as needed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
