Hi @e058883,

The dash key, small but mighty! It’s easy to overlook, but once you know where to find it, you’ll wonder how you ever lost it in the first place. Let’s get you there in no time!

The dash (-) key is typically found on the on-screen keyboard when entering Wi-Fi passwords or other text on the HP OfficeJet 5258 printer.

How to Find the Dash (-) Key on HP 5258 Screen:

  1. Go to the text entry field (e.g., while entering a Wi-Fi password).
  2. If the keyboard appears with only letters, look for a "123" or "Symbols" key on the screen.
  3. Tap the Symbols (!@#) or Numbers (123) button to switch to special characters.
  4. Locate the dash (-) key and tap it to enter.

If you don’t see it, try scrolling through the symbols page. 😊

Now that you’ve got it, you’re officially a dash-key master! If anything, else decides to play hide-and-seek, I’m just a message away. 😊

Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊

If this solved your issue, go ahead and mark it as "Accepted Solution" and hit "Yes"—your feedback keeps us going and helps others too! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day! 🚀

Best regards,
