Why cant I see word documents in my files through HP print app? I can only view and print PDFs

I can't print word documents when using the hp printer app. Word documents do not show up in my files, only PDFs.  I would appreciate any advice, thank you.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

HP Smart typically supports PDF and Image (Photo) files.

IF it was installed with your "HP Smart" application files,

You can perhaps print Word files using the "HP Smart Printing" driver.

Open Word document > File > Print >

In the printer list (top of menu), look for "HP Smart Printing"

No joy?

What else?

The traditional "full feature software" is still available for your printer.

If you have not done so, Install the full driver and print from within your open Word document.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

What else?

Continue doing as you have done -- Export your Word file to PDF and print using HP Smart or other PDF printing software / application
