I get my printer online some times and print a few things then the next time I try to use it it's offline AGAIN. So frustrating and wasting so much time I'm ready to throw it away!

@Frustrated364, Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can check this on the printer's display screen or via the printer's web interface.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support (Hyperlink)

  • Sometimes firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues. Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find the firmware update option in the printer’s settings menu or via the HP Smart app.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and computer. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Check IP Address:

  • Ensure that your printer has a static IP address to prevent it from changing. This can be set up through the printer’s network settings.

Update Printer Drivers: Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • Remove the printer from your list of devices on your computer and then add it back. This can often resolve connectivity issues.

Printer Sleep Mode:

  • Check if the printer has a sleep mode or power-saving setting that might be causing it to go offline. Adjust the settings if needed.

:

Disable “Use Printer Offline” Mode:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, select See what’s printing, and ensure that "Use Printer Offline" is not checked.

HP Smart App Troubleshooting:

  • Use the HP Smart app for additional troubleshooting and to manage your printer's settings.
