Hi @Bud68,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The blue light flashing on your HP Envy 7900e series printer's WiFi indicator typically means that the printer is in WiFi setup mode or trying to establish a connection to the wireless network. Here are some common causes and steps you can take.

Possible Reasons:

  1. WiFi Setup Mode: The printer may be in wireless setup mode, awaiting connection to your WiFi network.
  2. Disconnected or Lost Connection: The printer might have lost connection to your WiFi network and is attempting to reconnect.
  3. Incorrect Network Password: The printer may have trouble connecting if the WiFi password was entered incorrectly.
  4. Network Changes: If you've recently changed your router, network settings, or password, the printer may be unable to connect.

Solutions:

Reconnect to WiFi:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel and access the network settings.
  • Use the WiFi setup wizard to reconnect the printer to your network.
  • Ensure that you enter the correct network name (SSID) and password.

Restart the Printer and Router:

  • Power off your printer and router.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then turn both devices back on.
  • Check if the printer reconnects automatically.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date, as this could resolve connectivity issues.

Restore Network Settings:

  • If nothing works, try resetting the printer’s network settings.
  • You can do this by navigating to the network settings on the printer and selecting Restore Network Defaults, then reconnect to the WiFi.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
