Trying to add this printer to our Wi-Fi network. It is old and doesn’t have Wi-Fi connectivity. Which network adapter can I use/ is any adapter compatible and will this work with a usb Wi-Fi adapter? Or does it need to be hardwired?

Bought a usb Wi-Fi adapter. Realized the printer has no USB port! Paid the $100 and just got a Wi-Fi network extender with an Ethernet port. Killed two birds and it works great! Thanks for the tips!

Save yourself time and money and connect it hardwire.

Thanks, it’s my in laws. They got new internet and the router is in the basement. Printer is on second floor. Didn’t want to bore through the floor/ walls or run to the basement from the upstairs office. Would cost more than an adapter to do that.

That changes a lot. You need to get ethernet to wi-fi or USB to wifi adapter to make your printer wireless. Read reviews from other customers on the internet and choose the market is full of these adapters.

Awesome, I figured those would work, but wasn’t sure as I never tried one on a printer. I’ll grab one and try it. Is there any specific setup that needs to happen within the printer settings? Any model specific info would be great. Thanks

It's plug and play from the printer's side, the network computer(s) will recognise the printer on a network and you continue the setup.
