Hi @VVidi,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing an issue with the Wi-Fi setup being locked on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart your printer and your Wi-Fi router: Sometimes, simply restarting your devices can help to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check that the printer is in range of your Wi-Fi network: Make sure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network and that there are no physical obstructions that could be blocking the signal.
  • Check your Wi-Fi network settings: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is configured correctly and that you have entered the correct password.
  • Reset the printer network settings: You may need to reset the printer's network settings to clear any previous configurations that could be causing issues. You can do this by accessing the printer's control panel and selecting the "Restore Network Defaults" option.
  • Update the printer firmware: Make sure that your printer is running the latest firmware. You can check for updates on the HP website or through the printer's control panel.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello-

You didn't even attempt to answer my question directly and gave a generalized question.

The question: how to unlock the settings that has been locked by previous user.

Restore network default is greyed out and says it has been locked. That was the question.

Pls let me know how to unlock. Without that unlocking the printer is a junk. Some stupid locking process created by HP messing up so many users.

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e.

I assume that as I have setup the printer (via the HPSmart App on the PC), to be secure, the printer automatically locks the advanced functions/control panel after a set time (unclear how long).

You, like me, will be confused by this as you will remember NOT putting in a login or password.

I went around and around with HP support and HP employees but in the end found the solution on my own.

Username admin (default) and the pin (8 digit numeric) which can be found inside the front panel (where you access the print cartridges').

Once you have these details, you can change the PIN via HPSmart. In fact it was playing with HP Smart that led me to this solution - when I went into advanced features if asked me for the PIN inside the panel.

Good Luck.
