Hi @Atse,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer is having issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and is indicating that you do not have drivers, you may need to troubleshoot and reinstall the drivers. Here's a step-by-step guide.

Verify Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly and that the printer is within the range of the Wi-Fi signal.
  • Check if other devices can connect to the same Wi-Fi network without any issues.

Printer Restart:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help reset the printer's network settings.

Reinstall Wi-Fi Drivers:

  • Visit the official HP support website: HP Customer Support.
  • Enter your printer model (HP LaserJet MFP M140w) in the search bar and navigate to the product support page.
  • Look for the 'Drivers' or 'Software' section and download the latest drivers for your operating system (Windows, macOS, etc.).

Install Drivers:

  • Once the drivers are downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Connect Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • During the installation process, you should be prompted to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions to do so.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Visit the HP support page for your printer and check if there are any firmware updates available. If so, download and install them.

Reboot:

  • After installing the drivers and updating the firmware, restart your computer and the printer.

Test Print:

  • Once everything is set up, try printing a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.

If the issue persists after following these steps, you may want to check the following.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Some security software might block the printer's communication. Check your firewall or antivirus settings to ensure they are not preventing the printer from connecting to the Wi-Fi network.

Router Settings:

  • Check your router settings to make sure it is not blocking the printer. Ensure that the Wi-Fi network is using the correct security settings (WPA2, WPA3, etc.).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
