We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hi,

I was reading about WiFi Direct at https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en/wireless-printing/wi-fi-direct-and-hp-wireless-direct/what-is-hp-wirel....

I understood as

Using WiFi Direct, wifi devices like laptop, smartphone can be connected directly with the printer.

In this case, for wireless printing, only WiFi Direct supporting printer and Print App or Print Software are required.

In such cases Internet connection and router are not required.

If I understood well, please let me know,

  • What can be expected wireless connectivity distance range with WiFi Direct?
  • Which wireless connectivity; WiFi Direct and WiFI, is better?
  • What are limitations of WiFi Direct connectivity over WiFi?

Moreover, whether it’s at personal level use or organization level use;

if the printer supports WiFi Direct and print app or software is installed in the device;

any skilled person can connect with the printer and can print.

Am I right?

With Regards
