Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I seems that the only way I can connect to my new router is via the use of an HP print out of a WiFi Direct Pin. I don't why this is and it looks like some sort of tie the HP Ink and paper supply which I have no interest in. This has only occurred because I replace my old router with a new one and have been having lots of trouble trying to connect my printer to it. How do I ensure that HP is not guided me down a ribbit hole so that I'm tied to some sort of ongoing printer use and monitoring plan. How do I stop this and just connect the printer via WIFI as it has been for the past year?
