Hello. Today I received the HP DeskJet Plus 4122 MFP.
When I try to set up a WiFi connection, I keep getting an error.
I also noticed that the model is defined as 4100. Is this how it should be?
I tried to configure through the browser, the HP Smart application for WIndows and for Android.
Dropped settings. And it still gives an error message.
How to solve this problem?
P.S. In Russian, the error code "-5" will be displayed, in English it is not displayed

Thanks for the help.
It turned out to fix the problem by updating the software in the printer itself.
After installation, even the setup stage went differently. Other stages of installation and configuration were displayed.
P.S. But I still have a problem with the HP website. I can't visit a large number of pages. Instead, the 403 error is displayed in the browser. I don't understand why. So on many devices. Including other people.
Perhaps this is only in Russia. Have you ever encountered this?

Hello,
As the first instance, please restore the network settings to the default settings by doing the following:
- Press and hold the Wireless (
) and Cancel (
) buttons simultaneously from the control panel for 3 seconds.
Then, please reinstall your printer as follows (Windows only):
- Uninstall the software to your printer (except HP Smart) as follows:
- Unplug the USB cable at the back of the printer, if necessary.
- On the keyboard, simultaneously tap the Windows flag and the R key. The Run window opens.
- Type appwiz.cpl, then OK. The Programs and Features window opens.
- Click the right mouse button on HP Deskjet Plus 4100 series Basic Software, then Uninstall and Yes.
Note: If the software uninstall process does not start or an error displays while uninstalling, download Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed from the Microsoft website, and then try uninstalling again.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstall of the printer.
- Restart the computer.
Note: If you did not have HP Deskjet Plus 4100 series Basic Software in the list of installed programs, go to the next step.
- Use AdwCleaner (Download, then Run) to scan and clean the PC.
- Reinstall the printer with the HP Deskjet Plus 4100 All-in-One Printer series Full Features Software and Drivers.
Please refer to the following section to connect your printer to the wireless network: HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network) or Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection.
Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.
Best regards,

Cookies cleared several times. Logged in via incognito mode. Changed the browser and device where I checked the pages of the site. There are other people with this error.
Clearing cookies helps, but not for long. As soon as I try to go to the support section, the 403 error appears again

Thanks for your return,
This problem is more related to the HP support level, so I will try to raise this concern to the team that deals with it.
Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about it.
I have escalated this small issue to the HP support community team who are handling it.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
I invite you to wait until one of the team that takes care of it can be present to help you.
Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
- Are you able to connect other devices to this printer?
- Are the printer and smartphone connected to the same wireless network?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- HP printer setup (Android) https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1870466-1870510-16
- HP printer setup (Wi-Fi Direct) https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1841315-1637332-16
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
