I switched to T Mobile and selected my network and put in correct password but printer still will not connect. Any suggestions? Printer is Envy 5530. I tried holding WiFi button down and powering on but didn’t seem to reset. Thanks

Hi @Squire1967,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 5530 printer is not connecting to your new T-Mobile network, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Wireless Status Light:

  • Ensure that the wireless status light on your printer is solid blue. This indicates that the wireless connection is active.
  • If the light is blinking or off, it may indicate a connection issue or that the wireless function is turned off.

Ensure Correct Network Selection:

  • Open the printer's control panel and navigate to the Wireless Summary menu by pressing the Wireless button.
  • Confirm that the printer is attempting to connect to the correct network name (SSID).

Re-run the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • From the printer's control panel, touch the Wireless icon.
  • Select the Wireless Setup Wizard from the Wireless Summary menu.
  • Follow the prompts to select your T-Mobile network and enter the password again.

Check Network Credentials:

  • Double-check that you are entering the correct network password. Ensure it is case-sensitive and matches exactly the settings of your router.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Power off your router and the printer, then turn them back on in this order: router first, wait for it to fully restart, then the printer.

Move Closer to the Router:

  • Make sure the printer is within the range of your wireless router. Try moving the printer closer to the router to improve the signal.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer:

  • If necessary, restore the network default settings on your printer to set up the connection from scratch.
  • To do this, you may need to access the Reset Network Settings option from the Network menu on the printer’s control panel.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that the printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
