Click here for network setup in a different language
You may need to reset the printer:

The printer will remain in setup mode for 2 hours as I recall. Maybe only 2 minutes (?) if trying that WPS or pushbutton method.
WiFi setup to router: instructions using smartphone
For WiFi direct setup page 27 of users manual. This is useful if there is no modem
Simple push button or WPS setup is described on page 2 of the guide

The WPS pushbutton might be easier.

You may have a space or two before of after the password when entering it
If using password from the side or back of the modem you may have used a 1, L or i or an o, O or 0 (zero) by mistake.
Log into the modem and set the SSID of the 2.4ghz band to something different
Use the same numeric password for the login for both the 5 and 2.4ghz bands. Pick something simple like a phone number. Save and restart the modem
let me know what happens

While Awaiting your response I tried the WEP method on my modem… the printer was always hooked up to to desktop wired network …..after the WEP procedure now it’s printing wireless from the desktop and I’m able to print wireless from my iPad …not sure I want the desktop printing wireless but see no problem leaving it that way..
