I have changed my Wifi router, but the printer did not automatically update to the new settings. I have uninstalled printer, HP smart, and re installed, but it is still saying not connected. I have followed the instructions to restore the wifi settings, but I keep getting a message on the touchscreen that this feature has been locked by the person who set up the printer (me) . To turn this feature off, press unlock, which then asks for user name and password. To my recollection, I did not set up any password, and tried my HP Smart log in details, but that did not work. So at the moment I have a printer that I cannot use. This is extremely frustrating. Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.
You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.
