Hello @Snow33, and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question.

I'd be happy to help you set up your HP printer on Wi-Fi. Please follow these steps to get connected:

Option 1: Using HP Smart App (Recommended)

Download the HP Smart app:

Open the app and click “Set up a new printer.”

Turn on your printer and make sure it’s in Wi-Fi setup mode:

  • If it’s new or recently reset, it should enter setup mode automatically.
  • If not, restore network settings:
    • On most HP printers: Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button together until the wireless light blinks.

The app will detect your printer and guide you through connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

Option 2: Using Printer Control Panel (for models with display)

  • On the printer’s screen, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.

Option 3: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

If your router supports WPS:

  1. Press the WPS button on your router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the light starts blinking.
  3. The printer should connect automatically.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, also some HP printers don’t support 5 GHz.
  • Keep the printer close to the router during setup.
  • If setup fails, try restarting your printer and router.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
