I have an HP Laserjet Pro MFP M28w. My wifi direct is disabled. How do I enable it. I'm only going to be printing from my phone and my chrome book. This is for my work and I can't figure it out.

Hi @Nyki66,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a connectivity issue with your HP Laserjet Pro MFP M28w. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Press the Wireless button and light: Turn the wireless feature on or off, configure a WPS connection, or configure a Wi-Fi Direct connection.

If the issue persists, then I would suggest you restore the network back to defaults:

  • Restore Network Defaults to factory settings:
Press the wireless button over 20s, until the wireless LED button, attention LED and power button LED start blinking, then release the wireless button. Before restoring the network setting, click the 'X' button or any other button to wake up the printer first.
  • Once the network is reset then check on your PC's Wi-Fi option if you see the wireless direct option.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
